Annually, for 6 years, DaVinci Management Consulting team has been conducting research on the labor market and wages in Uzbekistan. In 2021, 98 companies and 900 specialists, middle and senior managers took part in the study.

The study describes the current situation on the labor market, the plans of companies for 2022, as well as the expectations of employees and applicants for 2022.
It is worth noting that the labor market of Uzbekistan remains a candidate market. An acute shortage of highly qualified employees entails an overheated wage market, which indicates that in certain positions the amount of wages is comparable to the salaries of CIS countries (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan), but, unfortunately, the labor productivity of specialists in Uzbekistan does not always reach the level of specialists from other countries. Companies are increasingly inviting expats to work, which partially solves the problem of the lack of qualified specialists in the market.
The study shows that companies have increasingly begun to make counter-offers to employees with an increase in wages from 20% to 40%, to those employees who received a job offer from another company. This trend will continue in 2022, which will lead to an increase in wages in the country.
And the most important question that companies are asking is by what percentage to index wages? Every year DaVinci calculates the cost of the Consumer basket, where you can clearly see how many percent the cost of the basket has increased.
